It would seem that plywood is a fairly trivial cargo; however, our client received more than 10 refusals for the storage request of 82 packages with dimensions of 1,525cm x 1,525cm. The customer needed short-term storage in the Moscow region with subsequent shipment along the planned route.
The warehouse department of TRASKO took up the project and offered exclusive conditions to the customer. It was necessary to organize afterhours at the warehouse so we did it. Plywood arrived to us and was placed at our warehouse facility. After 10 days of storage, since the client was in St. Petersburg and could not provide the necessary packaging for storage, we purchased fumigated boards with dimensions of 40cm x 150cm x 6,000cm and straps. After that we made a crate for plywood. It was necessary in order to securely fix the cargo for the upcoming placement in a container. The packages were loaded in the customer’s truck with the container onboard for further shipment along the route.
