Features of Container Shipping
It is a versatile and cost-effective transportation option — no wonder container shipping is in such high demand in the trade sector. Standard containers are suitable for general cargo, while specialized containers are the ideal solution for oversized and heavy loads.
Container shipping offers several key advantages:
- Safety. Containers protect goods from damage and environmental exposure during transit.
- Wide range of options. Several container types are used for different cargo. We will help you select the right container — whether for heavy machinery or live flowers. You can easily scale your logistics operations up or down depending on your needs, using more or fewer containers.
- Versatility. Containers can be transferred between different modes of transport (truck, train, vessel) without the need to reload the goods.
- Cost savings. The total cost of this type of shipping is usually lower than, for example, road or air freight on a number of routes. Packaging and reloading costs are also reduced.
- Wide geographical coverage. Container shipping is well suited for delivery to remote areas thanks to the availability of multimodal routes.
Costs and Delivery Terms
The exact price and delivery date are determined individually for each case. Rates and transit times are constantly changing due to the situation on the container shipping market. In sea freight specifically, influencing factors may include oil prices, route or voyage duration, and port terminal congestion. Because rates depend on route, container availability and current market conditions, we provide a transparent landed-cost quote rather than a fixed headline price.

Shipping Process
1. We coordinate the request with the carrier — calculate the shipping cost and agree on the terms of work and payment.
2. We provide the container to the shipper for loading.
3. We deliver the container to the port terminal or railway station and load it onto the vessel or container train.
4. We receive the cargo at the station or destination port terminal.
5. We organize terminal handling — preparing the cargo for onward transport to the recipient's warehouse, checking documents and verifying product characteristics.
6. We deliver the order to the recipient's warehouse by truck or rail.
Throughout the shipment you can easily track the progress of your order at every stage.
Delivery Format
- Door-to-door. A full-cycle delivery from the point of origin to the final destination. We will pick up your cargo from your warehouse in any city, for example Moscow or Samara, and deliver it to the required location. Key advantages include simple organization and full control over the entire supply chain.
- Station-to-station. In this format, the shipper delivers the container to the railway station in the city of origin, and the consignee collects it from the final station in the city of arrival.
- Port-to-port. This format is mainly used for international sea shipments. The shipper delivers the container to the port of origin, for example Vladivostok, and the consignee collects it at the terminal of the destination port — for example, Shanghai.
