We often tell you about the long distances covered by trucks, aircraft and container ships or by cargo trains. Today we will tell a story about the shortest but very responsible distance that we have ever covered with the cargo.
There were two turbine covers with the length of 7.63 m, width of 4.36 m and height of 4 m. The weight of each turbine cover was 40 tons. Each cargo had to be delivered from one plant shop to another at a distance of 300 meters.
A feature of the route was a sharp turn along the path. An important requirement of the customer was to provide the semi-trailer with the forced rotation of the axis in order to smoothly pass this turn.
In addition to transportation, TRASKO provided insurance of the cargo. With the help of a crane, the first turbine cover was moved to a lowboy with a capacity of 75 tons. The cargo was fixed with the chains.
There were railway tracks along the route of the truck with the oversized cargo. The truck carefully passed the tracks, rounded a bend and drove into the plant shop. Then the operation was repeated with the second turbine cover.
