TRASKO continues to face new and interesting challenges in the transportation of goods from China.
The Krasnoyarsk branch of the company has received an order for the transport of oversized cargo on the route from Manchuria (China) to Krasnoyarsk (Russia). This cargo turned out to be six tractors.
This was a new customer and a new challenge. The tractors were to be towed by the company's own tractors, 3 on each. Dimensions of a tractor: 5050mm/2380mm/3100mm and with the semi-trailer height of 2.7 m it was not possible to patent the semi-trailer and load. This required an oversized height permit.
TRASKO's specialists did everything they could to ensure that the load reached Russia safely: the tractors' wheels were additionally flattened and each pair of wheels was tightened with belts. There was also an option to partially disassemble the equipment, but in order not to breach the warranty and cause unnecessary problems for the customer, we decided to abandon this idea.
Adding to the complexity of this shipment was the fact that it was coming from inland China, with transhipment at a consolidation warehouse in Manchuria, and transhipment of oversized items is always a risk. The transshipment was successful, however, thanks to the competent cooperation of all those involved in the delivery.
At the consolidated warehouse, TRASKO replaced the summer diesel fuel (filled at the manufacturing plant) with winter fuel on all tractors at the customer's request. It's an unusual service for our company, but there's nothing you can do to help a customer.
The cargo was delivered on time and to specification, the customer was satisfied and the Krasnoyarsk branch has already received another order for a new delivery of this equipment.
