Recently, we transported a batch of cookies from the Sverdlovsk region to the Italian commune of Lombardy. Despite the fact that the cookies were samples for testing the packaging machine, we want to believe that the Italian partners tasted the beloved product made in Russia!
The samples for testing required the preparation of appropriate documents. The client asked us to carry out a turnkey transportation. TRASKO helped to issue shipping documents, provided the customer with recommendations on the packaging of fragile cargo.
Considering the small size and weight of the cargo of about 300 kg, it was transported by the specialists of the department of combined cargo of the TRASKO branch in Ufa. According to the agreement, it was required to pick up the goods from a warehouse in the Sverdlovsk region on the day the cargo arrived there. TRASKO provided the truck to the client and picked up the shipment. On June 19, the cargo began its journey to the destination point.
The boxes with cookies were delivered to Vnukovo International Airport (VKO) (Moscow) and a day later, after all necessary customs operations were held, the boxes have been sent to Istanbul by aircraft. Outbound customs clearance was carried out by TRASKO specialists. Upon arrival to Istanbul, the cargo moved to the Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) on the same day. Customs clearance operations were held upon arrival in Italy and the cargo left the airport. On June 27, the shipment was transported by road to Garbagnate Monastero in the commune of Lombardy, which is not far from Milan.
Overall in 9 days the fragile cargo covered a distance of 4,150 km and was successfully delivered to the client. By the way, we managed the delivery 5 days earlier than it was previously announved. In addition we held necessary paperwork, provided recommendations on packaging and regularly informed the customer about the location of the goods.
