Groupage cargo transportation

Project

Despite the unstable geopolitical situation, we deliver LTL cargo from Europe and find modern solutions to provide our customers with high-quality logistics service. We received a request from the customer for the transportation of a laboratory press filter used to separate inhomogeneous liquid into two components: purified liquid (filtrate) and solid impurities (sediment).

It was necessary to take into account that such a cargo requires additional control. TRASKO specialists have been working under restrictions for a long time and have the latest information regarding the process of work with double-purpose products. The specialists of LTL department of the Chelyabinsk branch of TRASKO advised the client on the sanctions legislation, provided the necessary clarifications on the list of additional documents for this type of cargo and gave a number of recommendations on the selection of a suitable HS code agreed with the EU customs authorities.

After a series of consultations we issued an export declaration and the sender planned the shipment to the customers address. The LTL transportation was supposed to be held from Spain to Russia via Italy. The cargo consisted of several parts. The largest one with the dimensions of 565cm x 172cm x 196 cm and a total weight of 4520 kg, and smaller ones included two pallets and a box. A large fragment of the cargo was loaded into the truck with a help of a crane.

Logistics is a dynamic industry, and it often happens that the situation changes while the cargo is in transit. The Lithuanian customs administration imposed a lot of additional restrictions and rules that were not broadcasted at the EU level and it was not possible to immediately find out about these changes. The LTL truck with a press filter inside stopped at the Lithuanian border.

The cause of detention was connected another shipment that was also within the LTL cargo. Nevertheless, the force majeure was resolved fairly quickly; fortunately the export declarations were not closed! We promptly inspected the new information and moved to the border of Latvia and the Republic of Belarus and continued transportation. All customers were warned about the forced delay. Overall the cargo covered a distance of about 6,300 km and was successfully delivered to customers due to the well-coordinated work of employees of the LTL cargo department of the Chelyabinsk branch of TRASKO. The press filter was brought to Chelyabinsk.

The key task of TRASKO is transportation of cargo, taking into account the safety parameters and a high level of service. We adapt in real time and ready to offer you solutions that meet the most modern challenges and your current logistic needs.
