Timely medical diagnosis is the key to maintaining health. A few decades ago, a number of key diagnostic tools were unavailable. Fortunately, modern science is moving forward, providing the necessary medical services to people in different parts of the world. Recently, we delivered a high-tech CT scanner with additions from France to Russia. A CT scanner is an expensive cargo, which is contraindicated by any shaking. Moreover, the transportation of such equipment requires a special temperature regime in the cargo compartment. Since the diagnostic device is sensitive to temperature and humidity fluctuations, a refrigerator was used for its transportation to provide optimal conditions during delivery.
The box with the main part of the cargo was equipped with the Tilt Indicator, as well as with an impact indicator in order to carry out delivery in accordance with high safety and quality standards. Taking into account the peculiarities of the cargo, special equipment was used to carry out loading operations.
Starting its journey from the French city of Saint-Witz near Paris, the truck with the cargo proceeded to a warehouse in Moscow, where the CT scanner was loaded into TRASKO refrigerator truck and continued its way to Yekaterinburg. In addition to transportation, our team has performed insurance of the cargo for the customer. The borders were successfully passed, as well as the distance of almost 4,600 km, and the cargo arrived to Yekaterinburg in accordance with the agreed terms due to the well-coordinated work of the Tver branch of TRASKO. However, the transportation to the destination point was only one part of the project. The next phase included the delivery of the CT scanner to one of the hospitals in the Urals.
In order to ensure the safe unloading of the cargo, a team of experienced riggers specializing in work with complex medical equipment was involved. Taking into account the dimensions of the device, it could not be lifted up the stairs or by elevator. The problem was that the room for the CT scanner was located on the fifth floor. It was decided to make a technological hole in the wall of the hospital. Then the scanner was lifted by the crane and carefully installed inside the room.
