Delivery of combined cargo to Europe

Project

Many people suppose that delivery of the groupage cargo is performing only by trucks. And what if we tell you that transportation of the groupage cargo could be done with the help of rail transport or by the sea? Would you be surprised? So everything is possible with TRASKO! Let’s get into the details.

Our customer appealed to us to carry out the transportation of the cargo from Moscow to Iturup, the largest island of the Kuril Islands.

The cargo was packed in wooden boxes with the dimensions of 1.46 m x 0.96 m x 1.08 m. The overall weight of the cargo was 764 kg. The boxes occupied 3 standard places. Thus, it was decided to deliver cargo in LTL mode within a groupage cargo. The boxes were sent from TRASKO warehouse in Krekshino to the railway terminal in Moscow. Then a container continued its journey by rail and covered about 9,100 km from Moscow to the port of Vladivostok.

Then the cargo was put onto a container ship and delivered to the destination point by sea. Overall the cargo covered about 10,500 km and was successfully delivered to the customer. In addition to transportation, TRASKO carried out insurance of goods. The delivery of cargo within the groupage one allowed the customer to significantly save money.

For over 26 years, TRASKO has been successfully worked on the logistics market. We will be glad to offer our expertise to solve your transportation issues.
