We received a request from one of our customers to transport two wooden lion figures for a private collection. It was planned to send cargo from a temporary storage warehouse in Istra (Moscow region) to the customer’s door in Sochi. The total weight of the products was 450 kg. The wooden sculptures were made from teak, a valuable wood species that grows in the natural conditions of Asian countries and is the most exported type of wood from the Asian region.
A special crate was made at the request of TRASKO to ensure safe transportation. The wooden sculptures in special packaging were attached inside the truck with belts. This is done in order to avoid possible movement of the cargo during the journey. In addition to transportation, we also provided cargo insurance and performed handling services.
The main difficulty of transportation was that the representatives of the consignee arrived in Sochi for one day just to receive the shipment. Thus, we had to deliver the cargo on the specified date, despite the fact that transportation of consolidated cargo always requires a certain period of time.
As a result, the cargo covered about 1,700 km in 7 days and was successfully delivered to the customer’s door on the appointed date.
