Metal is a quite durable material, isn't it? However, this is difficult question when it comes to the TIGER series bagging press, one of the most powerful and high-performance in its segment. A huge machine easily crushes kilograms of metal into rectangular high-density bags with an impact force of 145-210 tons. Hardly anything is able to resist the force of such a powerful impact!

The press’ weigh is about 70 tons. The client instructed us to transfer this device from Izmir (Turkey) to the Smolensk region (Russia). Depending on the weight of the parts, it was decided to divide the cargo into three vehicles: a low-frame trawl, a standard 20-tons truck and a truck with a 3 m high semitrailer.

The 50 tons main body of the press was loaded onto a low-frame trawl. A few days later, the standard truck was equipped with another 7 tons part of the cargo plus 2 more tons of components (spare parts etc.). The third truck with a ‘mega’ semi-trailer was loaded with parts of the press with a total weight of about 11 tons.

Previously, it was supposed to conduct a one-time arrival of three vehicles at customs. Since standard and ‘mega’ trailer were moving faster, they started its journey together, while the trawl moved along a different route from Turkey to Azerbaijan by land, and then arrived at the port of Kazakhstan by ferry. Then the trawl’s route came through the territory of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation through the border crossing of Ozinki in the Saratov region, and then headed towards Smolensk. Despite the fact that the standard truck and the mega trailer arrived a little earlier than the trawl, the client did not incur any expenses, since we assumed these risks. The customs clearance of the cargo was successfully carried out by TRASKO specialists upon arrival of all vehicles at the customs office in the Smolensk region.

Overall, the cargo was delivered to the customer in a little more than a month in accordance with the agreed deadlines. The cargo covered a distance of 5,100 km. TRASKO provided a range of services including transportation, customs clearance and cargo insurance.
