Not every delivery project goes without a hitch. It is important for us not just to deliver the cargo, that’s why we strive to receive maximum benefit for the customer. So, we received a request for the delivery of an unusual cargo, an XCMG truck crane, in mid-November of 2022. Tariffs for delivery by rail were unstable at that time, and we had to adjust them several times, in particular, after the January indexation. Since the delivery was not urgent, it was decided to postpone the transportation to the spring.
When tariffs stabilized, we resume the discussion on the project: a crane with dimensions of 12.3 m*2.5m*3.38m and a weight of 33 tons had to be delivered from Blagoveshchensk to Moscow (Russia). The customer warned us that the crane was not on the move, which means that special equipment would be required to load the cargo at the departure station.
However, the cargo sender already had experience of QY25K5S crane operation and after a number of manipulations it became possible to turn on the engines! As a result, the crane was able to move off the trawl on its own and drive onto the railway platform.
The cargo was fixed on the platform with nail stops and tripwires in order to ensure reliability. So the journey from Blagoveshchensk to Moscow began. This type of shipment is the subject to supervision and was periodically checked by the armed security service on the way. In 24 days the cargo crossed almost the entire country and was delivered to the destination station Lyubertsy-1 (Moscow, Russia). The crane successfully moved off the railway platform. In addition to direct transportation, we performed loading and unloading operations, provided a railway platform, secured the cargo, paid the railway fare and put the cargo on the ground upon arrival.
