We have used two low-frame platforms to transport two main oversized fragments of 21 tons and 27 tons, respectively. TRASKO also used three curtain-sided trucks for transportation of other parts for pressing machine. The overall weight of the transported equipment was 110,000 kg!
Cargo loading was carried out in the workshop of the automobile plant. The entrance to the Soviet plant was not designed for the dimensions of the European trucks, and therefore low-frame platforms were connected with KAMAZ trucks, and thus drove inside. The loading of multi-ton oversized components on platforms was carried out with a help of a crane beam. The cargo was fixed on the platforms and covered with canvas. After the platforms left the workshop, they were hooked up to Euro trailers and the transportation to Poland began.
Another feature of the transportation was the customer's requirement for all five trucks to cross the border at the same time and arrive together at the customs office in Poland. Taking into account that curtain-sided trucks move faster than trailers with low-frame platforms, it was decided to load trailers with oversized cargo first and send them along the route. All the trucks met at Kozlovichi border crossing station and arrived to the customs office together.
The trucks arrived to the destination point in Opoczno (Poland) covering a distance of 2,300 km. The entire delivery process took six days.
