Sometimes it seems that summer is a vacation period. But this is not always so! The summer season is also a time for interesting transportation and exotic routes. As you know, we always have something special to tell you about!

Our customer, one of the leading tire manufacturers, appealed to us to carry out transportation of a wheel alignment line. The line occupied 8 cargo places, one of them was oversized. Initially, the oversized position was assumed to be 4.2m*2.25m*4.35m. The main difficulty in terms of the delivery was the international multimodal transportation of high oversized cargo. Every centimeter of oversized cargo significantly increased the cost of transportation for the client. After long negotiations, the client managed to convince the sender to disassemble part of the equipment to fit the oversized part. Thus, the updated size of the box became 4.2m*2.25m*4.2m.

We had to deliver cargo from Busan (Korea) to Omsk (Russia) with arrival to Vladivostok. It was an important transportation for the client, so we worked out different transportation options in the interests of the customer. It was decided to deliver the cargo by containers to the seaport of Vladivostok with the help of 20ft flat rack container and two 40ft HC containers. Due to the limited delivery time and in order not to wait for one line to allocate the entire volume of containers, it was decided to carry out transportation by two different lines. Upon arrival in Vladivostok, all parts of the shipment have to be combined in order to release the cargo with a single declaration. However, during the holidays, there was a delay in the delivery of the 40ft containers, so the 20ft container arrived at the port of Vladivostok earlier. Upon arrival of the whole party, the cargo was combined.

The release of the customs declaration was performed quite fast, since all the documents were prepared in advance. Upon arrival of the cargo, the oversized part was reloaded from the flat rack platform to the port warehouse and then to the trawl. This operation required special attention due to the considerable height of this part of the cargo. Due to the well-coordinated work of the team and the port services, everything was done perfectly.

Transportation of important equipment over a distance of 6400km by land is not an easy matter. Initially, we planned to send the cargo by rail, but due to the fact that it was not possible to reduce the height of the box to dimensions less than 4m, this option was rejected. The oversized cargo moved from Vladivostok onboard of the trawl with an accompanying vehicle, and the remaining parts were carried by two standard 20-ton trucks. In addition to direct transportation, we also carried out cargo insurance.

TRASKO’ multimodal department carefully selected contractors from Korea. The cargo was expensive, and the partners should be as professional and reliable as possible. The situation was complicated by the sanctions restrictions launched by a number of contractors. Due to professionalism of TRASKO employees and well-established and extensive agency network, the delivery on the Korean part of route was made in accordance with the high standards of TRASKO. Overall, the cargo covered about 1,000 km by sea from Busan to Vladivostok, and then about 6,400 km by land from Vladivostok to Omsk and was successfully delivered to the customer in accordance with the agreed terms.

For over a quarter of a century, TRASKO has been successfully delivering a variety of cargo. Our company has all the necessary competencies to solve the most difficult logistical tasks of the customers.
